You can download a copy of the 2016 Forest of Dean Visitor Guide and other leaflets The Forest Web site is a virtual guide and listing site for the Forest of Dean.

The Forestry Commission web site is the best starting place is you want to plan a visit to the varied woodland that makes up today’s Forest of Dean.

Forest of Dean and Wye Valley Tour Guides arrange Guided Walks, and can provide coach commentaries and talks tailored to your requirements.

There are two newspapers for the Forest: The Forester and the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley Review

There is a weekly talking newspaper too: Forest Talk

The Dean Heritage Centre explains the history of the Forest. Housed in old mill it has indoor galleries, outdoor exhibits, a cafe/restaurant and frequent special events at weekends and holidays.

The Sungreen site run by Geoff Davis has a marvellous collection of old photographs of people, places and events in the Forest.
